See me at Speakers Corner
If you happen to be in Sydney in August, you may like to attend
the 2010 Organic Expo & Green Show. I will be
participating in Speakers Corner and am thoroughly looking
forward to it.
Session Date & Time: Saturday 21 August 2.15 -
3.00pm
Get Your Kid A School Kitchen Garden
Every child should have the right to learn about good food and
nutrition as basic education. They should also experience
the fun and reward of growing their own food. Following the
judging of the veggies entered by schools in the "Dig Your
Dinner" competition, this talk will leave you inspired to ensure
your child has the same opportunities.
Leonie has pioneered a scheme of edible school gardens and has
successfully implemented this into 15 schools already. She
will show: How to get this happening within your schools; Discuss
the importance of this for your children's future; and show some
lovely examples of her work in action and the benefits the kids
are getting.
Leone will be available for questions and signing her new book
"Eat Your Garden" afterwards.

"Food Glorious Food" Sang The Children and that was based on
gruel in the London workshops. Leonie Shanahan, School
Kitchen Garden pioneer, will get your kids shouting this from the
rooftops by showing how easy and fun it is to grow beautiful,
tasty, and nutritious food.
You can't be too young to start and what is learned at school can
easily be transferred to home and a lesson passed on
forever.
Leonie will be available for questions and signing her new book
after this session. Leonie's new book titled 'Eat Your
Garden' will also be available.
The Organic Expo & Green Show is Oceania Pacific's premier
certified organic & green lifestyle destination - celebrating
it's 6th year in Sydney.
