Worm Tower
Page 95 of Eat Your Garden
Worm towers need to be placed in a raised bed garden, a
herb spiral is the best position for this.
Worm towers are a great way to add nutrients to your
garden.
If possible use a clay or concrete pipe for your tower, otherwise
use a PVC pipe. The pipe can be up to 60 - 80cm circumference,
and approx 1 metre in height.
Drill holes about the size of a child's little finger in the
bottom 30cm section of pipe.
Paint above holes with a non-toxic undercoat; Rockcote paints are
excellent.
Sit in the sun to dry then paint with pictures.
Paint a pot that will be the lid of the tower.
When dry, place on besser bricks, or similar in the middle of the
herb spiral or raised bed garden.
